Sao Khue is a Vietnam-born, Vancouver-based Production Designer, Art Department professional, and Visual Director who creates immersive visual work exploring themes of belief, transformation, and cultural identity.
In production design, she approaches every project with the idea that the environment is a mirror of the character, and vice versa. With a comprehensive background spanning various roles within the art department—from set design to construction and fabrication—she brings a hands-on, detail-oriented perspective to every project. This allows her to build authentic, character-driven environments across a diverse range of formats, including short films, commercials, and music videos. Khue thrives on creative challenges and is committed to pushing boundaries through material experimentation and innovative visual storytelling. Her work has been featured at various festivals, including the Vancouver Asian Film Festival, Local Sightings Film Festival (Seattle), and the Chilliwack Independent Film Festival.
